IIM Vizag Samaarambh
Samaarambh- The annual cultural fest of IIM Visakhapatnam is here. The two-day long carnival has a lot in store for the Visakhapatnam Crowd and comprises a variety of events.
After its debut last year, this will be the second edition of IIM Visakhapatnam’s Samaarambh, and going by last year’s participation and buzz in the city, especially among the youth, it’s definitely something to put a spot in your calendar this weekend. Last year’s festival saw exuberant participation from the youth- MBA and undergraduate colleges in Vizag, from other cities in the state and even Pan-India. The events consisted of both online and live performance and it is expected to be no different this year.
Some of the events lined up this time are Battle of bands, Tip-toes, Spotlight to name a few- encompassing areas of Dance, Music, Photography, and Dramatics etc.
On Saturday 27th January – Panache, Battle of bands, Tip-toes and Mr. and Miss Samaarambh are the events followed by the Spotlight and the most awaited “Celebrity performance” on Sunday, 28th January.
The celebrity performance, like any other college fest in the country, is bound to be the talk of the town and Samaarambh is ready to deliver there as well. Sreerama Chandra- The winner of Indian Idol 2010 who has sung many Telugu hits. He has also crooned many favourites in Hindi, Kannada and Tamil languages, and is a very popular figure when it comes to the live performances.
