HPCL introduces new swachchta facilities in Visakhapatnam

The cleanest railway station is all set to go cleaner. HPCL Visakh Refinery, through Corporate Social Responsibility Funds, has introduced Swachhta implements at Visakhapatnam Railway Station in regards to Swachh Bharat.

Facilities which help maintain the railway station clean like pet bottle crusher, bio-waste- recycler, green bins, steel dustbins with wheels, to name a few have been facilitated at Visakhapatnam Railway Station on Sunday.

Rs 22 Lakh has been offered for Swachhta implements by HPCL Visakh Refinery and also would be funding another Rs 49.5 Lakhs for modern toilet block and Refreshing Lounge construction. Modern facilities like recliners, shower baths and others.

On the occasion of the 44th Foundation Day of HPCL, caps, T-shirts and Health Kits have been distributed to 570 people, including school children, porters and cleaning staff of Visakhapatnam Railway Station.

Director-Finance, J Ramaswamy, was overwhelmed with the response of the Swachchta Mission and the role played by the Railways in keeping the station clean. He also appreciated the efforts of Waltair Division officials for their works on maintaining the premises clean.

ADRM, Waltair K Dhanunjeya Rao, Executive Directors of and other dignitaries from HPCL and Waltair Division were also present during the introduction of the facilities.
