Heli Tourism In Vizag
Man has always wished to be soaring the skies to get a better view of things. This will soon be true for the people staying in, or visiting, Vizag/Visakhapatnam.
Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) Secretary Shri. A Srinivas got an approval from the Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, Shri. Neerabh Kumar Prasad on Thursday to go ahead with the development of two helipads at VUDA Park. He said the work has started for developing the two helipads in VUDA Park and an existing building in the park would be refurbished to be used as a waiting hall for passengers and pilots.
Initially, one six-seater helicopter will be used for both the city air tour and also for an extended trip to Araku Valley. The charge for the city tour will be Rs 2,000 per person and in 20 minutes the sortie will cover Kailasagiri, Thotlakonda, Simhachalam Temple and other important tourist spots. The extended trip cost for the Araku Valley and Eastern Ghats tour will be Rs 5,000/- per person. This sortie will take 30 minutes and cover exotic view of the forests and the valley.
So here’s wishing the Tourism Department for the new and exciting initiative to make Vizag reach…sky high!
