Film stars reach out to Kerala with huge donations

The monsoon floods have left Kerala in a devastating situation and film stars are reaching out to provide all the necessary help the state needs. After the release of a note regarding help by the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, the celebrities are coming in aid for the people in the flood devasted state.

Actor Vijay Devarakonda has donated Rs 5 Lakh to Chief Minister Relief Fund.

“And now I hear Kerala is reeling under floods and situation is quite bad! Kerala was my first holiday destination and has given me a lot of love for my work, I’ve met a lot of people from there who are some of the nicest people I know, I don’t know how to reach out personally”, the star tweeted.

He also asked his fans to help the people in Kerala by donating funds to the CMRF.

While actor Ram Charan Teja donated Rs 60 Lakhs and 10 Tonnes of rice, his better half Upasana Kamineni donated Rs 1.20 Crores for the CMRF.

Anupama Parameswaran has donated Rs 1 Lakh to help the state to recover from the flood.

Surya and his brother Karthi have donated Rs 25 Lakhs and actor turned politician Kamal Hassan has donated Rs 50 Lakhs to cater the needs of the situation.

Not just them, but various film stars fans associations are coming forward to help in any way possible to bring back situations to normal in Kerala.
