As a step towards making Andhra Pradesh eco-friendly, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu flagged off an electric bus and car in the state’s secretariat in Amaravati on Friday.

The Chief Minister said, “With an aim of controlling pollution in the state and providing employment to the youth, we announce 2018 as a marquee year for launching electric vehicles in the state. “In a move towards fostering battery-run vehicles in the state, an electric bus and car have been flagged off with a slogan of ‘Go green-Breathe clean’. The electric bus will soon commute between Vijayawada and Amaravati,” he further informed.Earlier, it was reported that as many as 1.05 lakh jobs are expected to be created in Andhra Pradesh with the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs).
