Education System To Get A Makeover

Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, focusing on the improvement of the educational standards to be on par with the international standards, is keen on reforming the primary and higher education. The state is currently in the fifth position in the education sector in the country and has a lot of chances to top the list in the following two years if the present education system of the state is taken care off.

The CM, after a teleconference with the vice- chancellors and officials, has hinted on the setting up of an Institute of Incubation and Innovation (III) centre, for which he asked the officials to make a plan in a way that it will be beneficial for the students to develop entrepreneurship skills. He also stated that these centers will be the game changers. He also mentioned that the state should develop in such a way that it is in par with the Silicon Valley in innovation, incubation and start up companies.

He also said that the engineering students should actively take part in civil development works in Amaravati and Tirupati cities, so that the students will get an opportunity to be a part of such big projects thereby increasing their exposure and skills. He also mentioned about the initiatives which have been taken already to prevent dropout rate in high schools. Chief minister also said that teachers play a very important role in empowering the students and that they should take the responsibility to imbibe knowledge about the education hub and the development of our state.

He also praised the students of Rayalseema university for participating in soil testing and drought mitigation programs. Andhra university students are leading in the internet facilities and Kakinada JNTU is leading in innovation and incubation, he added. He also suggested to take inputs from the educational institutions around the world in order to make our universities on par with them.
