On the CM’s arrival at San Francisco airport, he was received well by supporters of NRI TDP, Bay Area, AP Janma Bhumi and AP NRT wings. The Andhra Pradesh CM Facebook page states that the CM’s tour to the US wasn’t merely to bring in industry to Andhra Pradesh but also to bring in some benefits to the farmers and agriculture industry. The state government has hence signed a MoU with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, State of Iowa at the World Food Prize Foundation. The MoU will help the farmers and agriculturists of AP get advanced support in the fields of agricultural development, seed production and research.

The Iowa State University has agreed to set up a Mega Seed Park in AP. This centre will not just cater to farmers in the state, but also to farmers all over the country. The Nara Chandrababu Naidu Facebook stated – 70% Indian farmers face the problem of poor quality seeds and the main aim of this seed park will be to produce good quality seeds through advanced research. The project will also help double the farmers’ income by providing fertile land, required nutrients and improved water management practices. At the same time, this will increase the agricultural productivity of the state.
