People from different places visit Vizag beach every year to witness the beautiful scenic view of the city’s coastline. True that the waters of the oceans are captivating. But, just to fulfill the excitement, a lot of people walk into the waters only to lose their lives in the deep blue sea. What comes in as a distressing news is on an average every year, 196 deaths are being reported in Vizag beach.

Sometimes it is because of clicking selfies on the slippery stones and sometimes it is about being careless about the dangerous waves that are only beautiful to watch are the main cause of drowning to death.

It’s not a stray incident, the death rate. It is an often repeated occurrence and the statistics are grim on the terrible affair of deaths by drowning on the Beach. Lot has been done and there is a scope for a lot more to be done for avoiding this catastrophe. A lot of causalities have been due to the casual attitude of the visitors and there cannot be enough warnings. It remains to be seen how soon can we decrease the death toll on our beautiful coastline.

News dailies have diligently raised awareness and reported statistics and the numbers till date. Haste is necessary and the past paid due regard.
