Convention Center on Beach Road, Visakhapatnam to open soon.

The much hyped and long delayed Convention Center by Andhra University on Beach Road, Visakhapatnam is expected to open soon. The final touches are under way.

The ambitious project for a world class Convention Center by Andhra University is opening soon at Beach Road, Visakhapatnam. Located in a spot right beside the popular tourist attractions in town such as the war memorial, submarine museum as well as the aircraft museum, the Convention Center is an architectural master piece. It resembles a tortoise and the work on it is in the final stages. The convention center may be around by December 9th to host the Grand Alumni Meet on December 9th.

A lot of road blocks have delayed work on the project such a s shortage of funds. It’s foundation was laid long back in 2011. The Convention Center in Visakhapatnam has a seating capacity of 1800 pax with an ancillary infrastructure facility of exhibit area and a large parking space. The deadline set this time by the VC is November 30th and the inauguration is to take place at the hands of Vice-president Venkaiah Naidu and CM Chandrababu Naidu.
