Play for Charity Cricket Tournament to be held in Vizag

“PLAY FOR CHARITY” is a cricket tournament in Vizag wherein up to 20 Teams would
participate. The tournament is aimed to create a conducive environment for corporates, sports enthusiasts in professions and some of the local cultural and business communities. The tournament is aiming to promote physical education and skills development and build leadership skills and improve teamwork.

It would also provide an opportunity to connect with the other Corporates, and bring their association in the public purview and create awareness of their business and Social activities.

The matches will be played on 26, 27, 28 of October 2018; 2,3,4 of November and the Quarters/Semi-Finals & Finals will be played on 10,11 of November.

ROUND TABLE INDIA is an NGO engaged in Building Schools for the underprivileged children and we also undertake other Community Service Activities. Our National Initiative – Freedom through Education has so far built 6189 Classroom in 2588 Schools impacting more than 68 lakhs underprivileged Students in the last 19 years with a total outlay of more than Rs. 240 crores. Apart from infrastructure, Total Skills development initiative for children graduating from RTI Schools right until job placements has recently been pledged.

The members of this organization are young men between the age group of 18 to 40 years and come from different professional and business backgrounds.

In order to do the above work, we raise funds through Events and Fund Raisers like charity dinner, shows and corporate cricket matches. We also approach Corporates for their CSR Funds and help identify and execute projects in our realm.

In Vizag, Round Table India’s initiative includes building and repairing of school buildings such as
Lebeshilfe, Marikavalasa, Karasa, Ramnagar and Bobbili, Vasanta Bala and BVK Schools in Paderu, Hukumpeta, Chintapalle, Dwarkanagar, Bathili, Burma Colony & Kantakapalli. In agency areas alone, we have built more than 30 classrooms. In addition to these school blocks, the Organization builds toilet blocks, solar heaters, solar panels, provides amenities to the old age homes under Project Hope, conducts community service activities in orphanages and schools, including for the disabled.

Apart from building Schools and Playgrounds, Vizag Round Table 77, the oldest Round Table in Vizag, is also undertaking Free Surgeries for Cleft Lips and Palettes under project ‘First Smile’. So far we have done more than 300 operations and brought a Smile not only to the affected Children but also to their families.
