TDP President Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has lashed out at the claims made by BJP President Amit Shah, who in a letter addressed to the former, wrote the state government has not utilized the funds given by the centre.
Speaking against Mr. Amit Shah’s claim that the state hadn’t submitted utilization certificates, the CM said that Andhra Pradesh stands third when it comes to submitting utilization certificates.
The BJP President, in his letter, wrote, “We were looking at TDP as our partner in the progress of the people of the Andhra Pradesh. Unfortunately, partisan politics has overtaken leading to your Party leaving the NDA.”
Responding to the same, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said, ” As we didn’t have any other choice, as a last resort, as a mark of protest we walked out of the NDA. We wrote to various Union ministries several times, seeking funds, and I personally visited Delhi 29 times but there was no response. We waited patiently for four years for justice to the state. We remained a loyal friend (of the NDA) but snapped ties only when it did not honour any of the promises,” as reported by Deccan Chronicle.
Reportedly, he further questioned why the central government is criticizing the state government when it is striving for the cause of the people in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Naidu also said that BJP had a role in the state bifurcation and in fact, had done more injustice to the state than Congress.
