Chandrababu Naidu says he will continue his fight for Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said that he will continue to fight for the interests of Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister vowed to continue seeking justice for the state. He said that the centre must do justice to Andhra Pradesh and he is asking for the same.

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling party, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been protesting in the parliament ever since the latest Union Budget was announced. Chandrababu Naidu said that even the 4th Union Budget of the government was disappointing, which led to state government’s agitations in the parliament.

The CM pointed out that the parties of BJP, YSRCP, and Congress were blaming him, which is not good. He also mentioned that he will take the help of all the political parties and continue his fight in the forthcoming parliament sessions.

“The Congress did injustice at the time of bifurcation. Now, the BJP is not properly implementing the promises. I went to Delhi 29 times, talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all central leaders, but nothing much is achieved,” Naidu was quoted as saying.

The recent past saw people’s representatives from the state disrupt the parliament sessions by staging protests in both the houses of the parliament. The MPs demanded that the centre should fulfil the promises made to Andhra Pradesh before the people teach them a “lesson” in the 2019 elections.

In addition to the Special Railway Zone, the state government had also urged the centre to release funds for the purposes of Amaravati, Kadapa Steel Plant and a railway division for the stretch between Vijayawada and Guntakal. The centre, however, hasn’t allocated “sufficient funds” and the leaders feel, the Modi government has handed over a “betrayal” to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Not mentioning the Polavaram project in the budget was another reason that had irked the state’s MPs.
