Visakhapatnam boy dies in an accident while going for his SSC exam

In a tragic incident, on Thursday, a student, who was on his way to write his Class-X board exams, was killed in an accident. The student was sitting pillion, on a two-wheeler, and the accident took place at the NH-16 near Tallapalem area under Kasimkota police station limits in Visakhapatnam.

The 15-year-old boy was identified as Killadi Srinivas Rao, a resident of G Singaram area of Kasimkota Mandal.

Srinivas was riding with one of his distant relatives, P Veeraju, to the examination center at Tallapalem in Visakhapatnam district.

As reported by The Hindi, The local witnesses said that the 2 wheeler was hit by a speeding car. However, the police could not intercept the car. The Sub Inspector P. Madhusudhan Rao,  of  Kasimkota Police Station, said Veeraju lost his control over the bike, due to over-speeding, and hit a road-divider causing them fell down from the bike on the road.

The 15-year-old boy died on the spot from various head injuries, while Veeraju suffered injuries in a few parts of his body.

The police have registered a case against Veeraju under Section 304 A of IPC (causing death due to negligence) and the investigation is on.  In addition to that, the police shifted the boy’s body to NTR Hospital in Anakapalle for post-mortem.

However, the boy’s father K Kantha Rao along with a few others people who were a witness to the accident claimed that it was a case of hit and run.
