blockchain technology institute vizag
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Blockchain Technology when he was here on December 17 amongst other things. At the institute, six companies, including IBM, will train candidates to meet the requirement on a global level. The technology will also help the government protect its large database of digitalised records.
The IT Advisor to the state government, JA Chowdury stated that the state is digitalising all its departments. Andhra Pradesh government is the first government in Asia to use this technology to fool-proof their records, and prevent cyber-crime or hacking. The state government taking this step is an innovative move that is being recognised even globally. The state government maintains a database of 1.3 crore ration cards, 4.5 crore individual records and a few more for a start.
The state government is looking to make Visakhapatnam a Fintech hub and the Monetary Authority of Singapore is teaming up with the state government in a ‘Fintech Cooperation Agreement’. The blockchain technology has already been tested on a pilot basis in the Civil Supplies and Land Registration departments. In another six months, all departments in the state government will be digitalised and set up with blockchain technology.
There are few people currently who are armed with the knowledge of this technology and training Andhrites for it would make them highly valued globally.
