Sweet is something that every second person goes crazy over and the recipe we bring you today will definitely blow you minds. ‘Basundi’ is a very famous Maharshtrian sweet which is consumed all over India. This sweet is very famous in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra and is also called as ‘Rabri’. This sweet dish is made on special occasions and festivals and is very easy to make. Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3 to 4

 

Ingredients

Full Fat Milk – 1 liter

Condensed Milk – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 3 to 4 table spoon

Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp

Almonds – 1/4 cup chopped finely

Cashews – 1/4 cup chopped finely

Pistachios – 1/4 cup chopped finely

Saffron a pinch

 

Method

Take milk, sugar, condensed milk in a big pan and heat it up. Bring it to a boil, simmer the pan and cook on medium heat, keep stirring. Now it will form crust on top, fold that into the milk mix. Keep cooking till it gets thick. Take it off the heat and add all the other ingredients and mix well. Pour into a bowl and chill to serve cold.

 

Note

If it gets very thick after chilling, add some more milk and mix well.
