Amaravati
In what might prove to be a major boost to the development of Amaravati, the Andhra Pradesh government signed multiple pacts with Singapore for setting up a startup area in the state’s capital. AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Singapore Trade Minister S. Iswaran were present at the signing ceremony.
Sharing that Singapore would be helping the state in developing Amaravati into a world-class capital city, CM Naidu earmarked the signing of deals as a historic moment in the development of Amaravati. “It is quite essential for our joint efforts to develop the capital and to place our capital on the world map,” the CM was quoted as saying.
Also, it has been decided to establish flight connectivity between Vijayawada and Singapore from next month.
Singapore Trade Minister, S. Iswaran, said that the country will not only help the state in building the capital but also in activities such as skill development, institution building, industrial development, and agribusiness. He further informed that a separate office for Amaravati development to accelerate the procedures.
