Andhra Pradesh has successfully placed itself on the tourism map of India and the different experiences that modern people are looking at are all right here. Ecotourism is becoming an emerging to-do for travelers, thrill seekers, nature lovers and people looking to enjoy their holidays off the beaten track. Andhra Pradesh is blessed with emerald hills and mountains of the Eastern Ghats as well as virgin forests, valleys, waterfalls etc. Araku Valley, Kambalakonda and Lambasingi near Visakhapatnam, Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve in Prakasam, Kurnool and Guntur districts and more are becoming popular tourism hot spots.

APTDC is doing it’s very best to develop cottages, camps, forest guest houses and more for those who come to experience a stay close to nature rather the comforts of hotel stay with luxurious facilities. For such, tourism and the associated experiences cover exploring forests, hiking and trekking, mountain climbing, camping with bon fires, interacting with tribals and more. The tribal belt in Andhra Pradesh with the various tribes have opened up their home and hearth and have welcomed tourists, visitors and locals with open arms. Be it their traditional song and dance or their local foods, visitors from all over India are queuing up for an experience of it.

Boating, fishing, gaming with locals, staying at cottages and camps or even tree houses are all on the list and Andhra Pradesh meets these demands beautifully. It is thus no wonder that ours is the future hub of the ecotourist.
