Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao heaps praise on Visakhapatnam

Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao heaped praise on Visakhapatnam while speaking at Visakha Utsav on Thursday. The speaker inaugurated the flower show, arranged as a part of Visakha Utsav at VUDA Park on Thursday.

He said, “Visakhapatnam is a jewel in the crown of Andhra Pradesh. It has immense potential going forward. Visakha Utsav is developing into an entity that can attract the tourists round the clock on all the 365 days of a year.”

The speaker also added, “Visakhapatnam has bravely withstood an adverse cyclone like Hudhud and the citizens have successfully rebuilt their city.” He said that many companies are expressing interest in setting up their firms in the city. This, Sivaprasad Rao said, will lead to investments and increased job opportunities in the city.

While addressing the gathering, Andhra Pradesh HRD minister, Mr. Ganta Srinivasa Rao, said, “We are organising Visakha Utsav with a wide range of attractions. We have planned this year’s events in such a way they captivate people across all age groups. Let us welcome the new year with this cheerful spirit.” The minister added, “The tourism industry in Visakhapatnam is flourishing like never before. The fact that even a minister is not able to get a room in a hotel tells us a lot about the current demand in place. Tourists from Odisha, Chattisgarh, West Bengal and other states are visiting the city in high numbers. We will make Visakhapatnam a premium destination for tourism.”
