Amaravati To Take Shape By Next Vijayadashimi, Says CM

Every since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and the declaration of Amaravati as the capital of the newly divided Andhra Pradesh, huge plans have been laid out and announced for it. Andhra Pradesh places fifth in the education sector at present and it is Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s goal to make it the first.

He announced at a review meeting that an institute of incubation and innovation centre would be set up at Amaravati. Chapters of the same would be set up at high schools too to hone students’ entrepreneurship skills. His aim is to make AP as innovative as Silicon Valley. Civil Engineering students of the state would be brought in for the development works in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.

While wishing everyone on the occasion of Vijayadashimi on his FB page, the CM promised that Amaravati will definitely take shape by the next Vijayadashimi. He reminisced how the foundation stone for the capital was laid last Vijayadashimi. He also wrote that “The construction and development of the world-class capital is crucial and mandatory to usher in economic growth and prosperity, create employment opportunities in large numbers and achieve progress in all socio-economic sections of society.”

The CM stated that the AP government is committed to develop Amaravati one of the best cities of India and one of the top five in the world. A great future is envisioned for the capital that will be an environment-friendly Green City. He thanked the small and medium farmers who wholeheartedly came forward to handover heir land holdings for the construction of the capital. 13 international schools from across the globe have apparently evinced interest in setting up their campuses in the new capital.

In another post, he announced the Amaravati Shopping Festival – that is to take place till 29th October in Vijayawada. The Shopping Festival that commenced from 1st October is designed along the lines of the Dubai Shopping Festival.
