A 15-year-old boy was found lying dead on the railway tracks in Aganampudi, Visakhapatnam. The boy, identified as Aditya Giri, was the elder son of Manoj Babloo Giri. Manoj, along with his family, had relocated to Visakhapatnam from Uttar Pradesh 10 years ago in search of livelihood. He now works as a security guard here in Aganampudi.
Reportedly, Aditya, a student of Aganampudi High school, attended a festival of the local Goddess on Thursday following which he did not return home. After carrying a futile search, the boy’s father informed the patrolling cops near the temple seeking help to trace his son. Eventually, the locals found Aditya’s body over the railway tracks the next morning and informed the cops. While the majority speculates that the boy might have lost his life after being hit by a train while crossing the tracks, the father, reportedly, suspects foul play as his younger son too, had earlier died of electrocution in almost the same area.
Speaking on the case, the investigating officer of the Government Railway Police, SI Kameswar Rao has said that they have asked the father if he suspected anyone in this regard. The dead body of the boy was sent for post-mortem in Visakhapatnam.
