TDP leader Someshwar Goud killed in Andhra Pradesh

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, Someshwar Goud was killed in K. Venkatapuram village of Kurnool district. Reportedly, the TDP Vice President of Devanakonda Mandal was attacked by a group of unidentified men over an alleged political revenge.

While further details are awaited, a police investigation is currently on to gain further insights.

The news comes nearly two months after two other leaders of TDP were killed in a Maoist attack in Araku of Visakhapatnam district. It was reported that the vehicle of the leaders was stopped by the attackers, who forced them to get down. Weapons of the three security officers, comprising two 9mm pistols and 9mm carbine, were seized by the Maoists giving them no chance to open fire.
