Kathi Mahesh faces expulsion from Hyderabad

Starting from his controversial comments on actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan, film critic Kathi Mahesh has always managed to be under the limelight of the media, regarding disputes over various issues. In the latest, Mahesh has ended up making offensive comments against Lord Ram and Ramayanam mythology, ultimately landing in an ultimatum of expulsion by the Hyderabad Police Department.

Under the freedom of expression, Mahesh has made foul comments on Lord Ram which triggered religious feelings of many Hindu scholars and devotees. One of them being Paripoornananda Swami has warned Mahesh to take back his words or would face legal consequences. With no reply from Mahesh in any sort, Swami has called out for a padayatra with thousands of devotees in Hyderabad. The Police department, observing the issue reaching to a scale of threatening, has subjected Kathi Mahesh to expulsion from Hyderabad.

Mahesh has been ordered to stay away from the city and not to come back without permission from the police department.

Currently, Kathi Mahesh has been expelled to his native place, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
